Sackett visited the Newtown hatchery Saturday of last week and returned with 20 000 young fish mainly eat fish and bluegill placed in the Hastfork little north of Main Street bridge. He promises good fishing and hunting in Clermont county within two years and solicits cooperation of sportsmen and landowners. With this extra supply fishing should be good.

A country home wedding for Leona King and Louis Krekeler was held at Elklick on Saturday October 8 at 8pm. Rev. Judge McBride of Hillsboro excused all women summoned for grand jury this week amid varied reasons. One juress failed to appear Monday. she was excused after waiting while an all male jury was impaneled as the usual practice.
Mrs Charlie Williams of Greenberry hosted a dinner last week in honor of her brother W A Hartman of Lynchburg whose birthday occurred. Distanced guests included Robert Hartman and Mr and Mrs Charles Root of Lynchburg and Mr and Mrs Cary W Hartman of Oakland California. The guest of honor was Mrs Albert G Hartman mother of W A Hartman and in her 86th year and in good health.
The October 7 end month report shows enrollment and attendance figures across grades from first through high school plus tardiness counts. Emphasis is placed on reducing tardiness and boosting attendance toward 100 percent. Manuel training and music run two days weekly, domestic science five days, and Extension work with Prof. Scudder. Normal School enrolls 45, Miss Koehler leads, Freshmen reception well attended despite rain.
The Georgetown fair drew a record attendance last Thursday with packed grounds and full access, reflecting strong district planning and suitable weather. Exhibits included fine farm products and horses in the show ring, while the Batavia band provided music for the two busy days.
