Afton YMCA Opens With Wide Range of Facilities
Clermont County’s Afton YMCA, opened on Wagon Wheel Drive in April and officially June 2, offers a large gym, running track, swimming pool, nursery, free weight room, separate men and women locker rooms with steam and sauna, meeting rooms, and a club room. Executive director Phil Mallers notes it operates independently of 14 Cincinnati branches and is funded locally. Membership includes initiation fee and annual dues with family and senior discounts. non-members may visit as guests.

Accounting firm will compute data needs for Clermont County
Ernst & Whitney was hired October 3 by Clermont County commissioners to study automatic data processing needs. They will first analyze computerization for the water and sewer department accounting, child support enforcement, the court's bureau of support, and the auditor's budgetary accounting, with bids and hardware/software selection by December 31. The second phase will identify long range needs by interviewing key departments. Estimated initial task cost up to 15000 dollars, second phase about 25000 dollars.
