The Batavia Woman's Club meets October 8 at 2 30 p m at Mrs J C McCloy's home. The CIC of the Methodist Sunday school meets October 14 with Mrs E Rush. The Batavia Eastern Star Chapter holds its regular meeting October 12 with a lunch and a white elephant sale. Marathon P T A to Hold October Meetings and Sewing

Scrap drive yields Clermont County USO check

War Work Classes Planned for Clermont County

The University of Cincinnati Evening College offers free courses funded by the U S Office of Education to Clermont county high school graduates or workers with shop experience. Classes cover blue print reading shop mathematics and production supervision to aid war production.
