Burglar Arrest After Theft From Moscow School
Deputy Sheriff Frank Perry of New Richmond arrested Frank Bennett 25 of Moscow after a burglary at the Moscow school. Bennett pled guilty before Squire Wise man, bound over to the grand jury in 500 dollars, jailed pending court. Perry traced him via a call to Perry home. Superintendent Meranda reported the theft.

Accident on Back Run Hill Prompting Safety Call
Last Sunday morning a car skidded on a wet Back Run hill and overturned with several passengers. The site is noted as dangerous when wet and calls are made for state or county authorities to address the hazard.

Illegal fishing arrests in Pt Pleasant pair plead guilty
George D. Miller age 42 and Reuben Ferguson age 80 of Pt Pleasant were arrested for illegal fishing by State Game Protector Frank W. Stagg of Batavia. They pleaded guilty to two charges each, fined $25 and costs in each, Miller jailed while Ferguson paid and released. The report notes the fish were plentiful but small.

Sheriff Garland G. Auxier came back to Batavia Monday after a weekend trip to Detroit to fetch a suspect in the Williamsburg and New Richmond Department Store burglaries. Victim Henry Brown alias Isaac Brown of Cincinnati testified and was bound over to the Grand Jury under a $1,000 bond.
