Clermont County Board OKs MGS Water System Bonds
The Clermont County Board of Commissioners approved a 2,885,000 revenue bond issue for the MGS Water System with two members present. The deal includes a 5.39 percent annual cost to the county and a 30 day lead time to print 2805 bonds in 1000 denomination units. Contracts for construction are awarded and money is in hand, with administration building bids to open October 10. Minimum residential rates are set at 7 dollars monthly. other use charges scale by 1000 gallons with 1.75, 0.60 and 0.50 dollar rates for successive blocks.

Veterans Benefit Claims Progress Report
Problems with 5300 Korean bonus claims remain unresolved after the December 31 1958 cut off. Clermont County veterans have received 330103.80 since June 1 1957. Twenty nine claims were paid to next of kin and 1423 living veterans have been paid.

New Civics Club Granted Charter
OWENSVILLE The St. Louis Civics Club of St. Louis School received its official charter from the commission on American Citizenship in Washington DC. The charter names affiliation with the national organization at The Catholic University of America. Grade eight pupils form the local club, with Edward Curran as president and Rodger Bauer as vice president. Carol Collins is corresponding secretary and James Rapps sergeant-at-arms.

The Milford community greets Dr. Donald C. Johnson at 538 Main St as a surgical orthopedic chiropodist. A former Marine show talent from Camp Lejeune, he later pursued show business on TV and in tours.
