Series Of Auto Accidents Marks Clermont Weekend
A weekend stretch in Clermont County featured multiple crashes over 40 hours. The fatal crash killed Theodore Jackson, 45, near Chile on Route 52, while Joseph Burke, 27, of Cincinnati, was the trucker. Other incidents included a Taft Road Cincinnati motorist minor injuries, a DUI stop for Charlie Hulsey, and a three car pileup on Route 28 causing a long delay. Sheriff Dericks noted Parker, Romohr, and Krampe were involved in the multimove collision near Summerfield.

Clermont County superintendent Frank Hoggatt will discuss Goshen High School at a Goshen School Improvement Association meeting in the district auditorium at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Voters on November 6 will decide a $215 000 revenue bond issue to finance the eight classroom building with cafeteria and offices.

Milford village council purchased a patrol car for 1753 dollars with an allowance of 1450 dollars for the 1950 model. Lou Bauer of Cincinnati auto dealer submitted the low bid. Complaints about road lines on U s Route 50 in front of Siddens Barbecue noted a sidewalk absence as a hazard to school children. state officials cannot set the lines and the matter goes to the local street committee.

Plan County Water Survey Initiates Village System Plan
Felicity moves to establish a village water system with a test well on Norman Faggett’s farm approved by state authorities. Bids for a 147000 dollar system are in, subject to water findings, with contracts for drilling, pumphouse, purifying system, tanks, mains, and other equipment. Revenue bonds would be repaid by monthly water rates under a new village rule offering free pumping to early adopters.

Ohio Law First Used In Non-Support Case
A new Ohio law allowing interstate transfer of a case saw its first use in Clermont County. Judge Harry Britton ruled that Everett T. Slone must make regular child and spousal support payments to Viola Mae Slone, with payments sent through the Clermont County clerk. The case originated in Nebraska where Slone faced extradition.

Mrs. Ruth M. Collins of Bethel Route 2 learns her son Private First Class William Eilers died in Korea. Eilers, age 22, was killed August 30 during an attack near Yanggu North Korea. He served in the 9th Infantry Regiment and enlisted January 4, 1951.
