County Agent and Wife Attend National Convention

W. W. Hamilton county agricultural extension agent and his wife, a Batavia first grade teacher, returned from the National County Agricultural Agents Convention in Minneapolis. About 1500 agents from all fifty states and Puerto Rico attended, with past honors noted from Las Cruces in 1962 when Hamilton received the Distinguished Service Award.

Uniforms for Band Aim at Glen Este Homecoming

The Glen Este Band Association seeks $2500 to $3000 to outfit 33 Trojan Band members before the Oct 25 Homecoming game against Felicity. Uniforms cost $75 each and funds come from outside school operating tax money. The group runs a Mile of Pennies drive begun Sept 20 and sponsors concessions at home games. A house to house effort starts Sunday with contact through Tom Jones, Eugene K. Dugan, or band members.

BMOP Gala Sale to Benefit Fire Department and Life Squad

One Dead One Injured In Milford Car Crash

James Kay mo Osterday of Mount Washington died when his car failed to navigate a curve on Roundbottom near South Milford and overturned into a creek bed. Daniel Feely of Hyde Park, a passenger, was trapped for an hour before rescue. William Landerman heard cries, found the wreck, and called police. Feely hospitalized with a possible skull fracture and other injuries. State Patrol cites excessive speed as cause.

Prosecutor Ralph Hill Declines 1964 Reelection Bid

Milford Ohio. Prosecuting Attorney Ralph A Hill announces he will not seek reelection in 1964 to devote time to private practice. Newtonsville six year old Geofrey Dugan son of Mr and Mrs Russell Dugan at 6319 Route 133 was seriously injured at 810 am Wednesday when struck by a US Army station wagon while waiting for a school bus. The driver Chalmer Spraldin 24 of the Nike Missile Base Felicity was not cited. Paul Berger bus driver and a soldier gave first aid.
