Hayden pushes Route 727 resurfacing in Edenton area
Clermont County Representative John Hayden and State Highway Engineer met in Edenton to plan immediate resurfacing of Route 727 from 133 in Edenton to 131 near Modest a 5.5 mile stretch. A Bituminous Drag top will make the road traffic ready with work to begin within ten days. The project ties to a Wayne Township State Park and lake, funded by 2500000 in the 96th General Assembly. Hayden secured 250000 earmarked and 62500 approved for Route 727 rebuilding. The Batavia P T A meets October 10 at 8 p m with a planned program and tea after.

Bass and bluegills delivered to county for pond stocking

Men Out on Bond After Mailbox Destruction Arrests
Three men Irving Smith Walter Schrope and Suel Cole were released on $1000 bond each after being held on charges of destroying mail boxes along State Route 74 near Afton. Postal Inspector R A Van Lieuw led the investigation. deputies moved the men to Cincinnati where separate warrants are being obtained by Sheriff Clyde Dericks.

Fire damages new home on Route 50 Stonelick
Early Wednesday a stove pipe caused a fire at Galvin Patchell's new house on Route 50 Stonelick, resulting in about 500 dollars in damage before firefighters or bystanders stopped the blaze. Several travelers along Route 50 aided in extinguishing the flames.

Clermont County 4 H Clubs dominate the Quad County Guernsey show held with the Blanchester Fall Festival.
