New Corn Loan Plan For Ohio Announced
The Agriculture Adjustment Administration announced a new corn loan program for Ohio farmers. Loans worth 55 cents per bushel at 4 percent on 1933 and 1934 stored corn will mature June 30 1935. Borrowers may call loans when corn hits 85 cents in Chicago. Primary insurance covering fire lightning and windstorm is required. Old corn in unsuitable cribs will not qualify. Woman Burglar Arrested After Newport Break In
Ezra Seyler’s New Town home was robbed last Thursday while the family was away. A thief took clothing, a watch and chain, boys’ banks, a shotgun, jewelry, and more valued at 200 dollars. Florence Mienhaus, 28, of Newport, Ky., was arrested and jailed in Newport. Ezra’s hat and knife were found at her home. Extradition papers are sought for her return to Ohio. She was visiting locally at the time.
