Marijuana Suspect Freed To Help Father In Crops

A marijuana suspect released on a bond under $1,000 pending trial is freed to assist his father in farming. In Clermont County, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mosbacker won high honors at the Buckeye District American Rose Society meeting in Cincinnati for nine hybrid tea rose varieties shown at the Mosbacker home on Clough Pike. The Mosbackers placed first in one class and two thirds. the event featured garden tours and state-wide talks by rose experts.

Bricker to Speak in Bethel on State Caravan Tour

Senator John Bricker will address Bethel at 2:30 p.m. in Burke Park as part of a Clermont County State Caravan visit on October 15. Local Clermont mountains plan to meet Republican candidates and hear Bricker, a re election candidate. James Garfield Stewart also speaks in Bethel on October 11 at 3 p.m. at a Lions clubs sponsored public ox roast.

Rites Set for Boy Victim of Rifle Mishap

Rites are set for Belvin Hager 21 of Batavia Route 5 after a 90 foot plunge into the Ohio River. Police report he survived the fall but died after later treatment at General Hospital. The incident followed a shooting at targets by youths. marital troubles were cited in the death.
