Williamsburg girls beat Batavia 11 to 7 in a crowded Batavia armory doubleheader. Williamsburg boys then defeated Batavia 15 to 5 as both teams showcased strong passing and fast play. Batavia also beat Bethel 42 to 12 in boys action while Bethel girls topped Batavia 46 to 16. Amelia swept Moscow on their floor 24 22 for girls and 31 18 for boys with close, spirited play. LaMaceda club of Owensville elected officers led by Coach Cliff Rosselot and capt Don Snider. last year’s squad won 17 of 20 and Clermont county titles.

Bethel Boy 22 Dies In Rolland Barkley Auto Crash
Roland Barkley aged 22 of Bethel died last Thursday in Chillicothe when a skidding car left the road on a sharp curve during a rabbit hunting trip with four friends. He worked for the state highway department and lived with his sister Mrs Dorothy O Neal. His father Frank Barkley of Bethel. funeral arrangements and burial were set after the accident was reported. This marks the third Bethel youth to die in an accident this year.

Hunters Need Permit Before Farm Hunts
City hunters entered David Geesner's farm in Cler mont county for a hunt. Geesner protested as one man became abusive and left. A warrant was issued for the offender's arrest and he paid $19.50 for his conduct and one lost rabbit.
