Clermont County Cancer Society Chapter Meets December 3

The Clermont County Cancer Society unit will hold a meeting on Wednesday December 3 at 8 PM in the Courthouse Conference Room Ba. Mr J P Kalina from the Ohio Division of the American Cancer Society will attend and present the charter to the Clermont County Unit. A large turnout from across the county is hoped.

4-H Leaders Assemble for Conference at Owensville

A group of 60 4-H Club officers and 15 advisors gathered at the Owensville School Auditorium Saturday morning for a conference. The event aimed to train participating officers and advisors in year round clubs with leaders Dale Bee and Joy May Warner directing activities and recreation near the end of the forenoon session.

Evan Haines of Cincinnati sues for 25000 in Clermont County Common Pleas Court claiming a July 19 collision on Route 28 when a truck driven by Moore McConnaughey of Batavia stopped suddenly caused his car driven by W A Turnet to crash. Haines alleges neck fracture and other injuries.

A small fire at the residence of Wilbur Dunlap in Batavia last Thursday drew many motorists to the scene and caused a traffic jam. Officials urge drivers to pull over and stop when the fire siren sounds to avoid hindering firemen. a village ordinance imposes fines up to 50 dollars and costs for following fire apparatus within 500 feet or parking in the block where responders stop.
