Head State Soil Tester To Attend County Meeting
Dr. O. L. Musgrave head of the Soil Testing Laboratory at Ohio State University will visit Clermont County on December 1 to meet farmers and others interested in soil testing. The meeting in Fellowship Hall Batavia Presbyterian Church at North and Third Streets starts at 1 p.m. All interested are invited. Musgrave will discuss soil sampling, how recommendations are formed, soil testing programs for farmers, and the economic importance of soil testing, with time for questions.

New Richmond Life Squad Aids Crash Victim
An 18 year old Marion resident Donald Curtis Nierheister lost control of his car on Rt 50 near New Richmond. The life squad passing by rendered aid and transported him to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. He was treated for minor head cuts and released.

Batavians Report Robbery of Cash and Percolator
Dusty Miller a Batavia service station operator was robbed last Thursday night of about 500 dollars. He kept the cash in a can in his truck and, after a brief stop on Main Street, found the can missing. W. W. Hamilton county agent reported his office basement percolator also stolen. Sheriff Clyde Dericks filed the report.

Sherman Dol Holliday 41 of Amelia remained jailed after Friday night shooting outside Log Cabin Tavern in New Richmond. Larry Cole 28 was treated at General Hospital for pellet wounds to both legs and listed in good condition. Holliday denied firing the shotgun. witnesses say he asked Cole to step outside before three shots were fired.
