The Amelia High School building will be dedicated December 6 with a full program including inspection, chicken dinner, flag raising, band, and a 7:00 basketball game between Amelia boys and Batavia girls. The building cost 72000 for 16 acres, brick and steel construction with 18 rooms, seven teachers, 180 pupils, and a modern heating and water system. The community invites the public to attend and notes the school is a top educational center with extensive facilities and planned events.

Ex-Bank Cashier James E. McKeever Dies at Williamsburg
James E. McKeever, lifelong Clermont county resident and ex cashier of the People's Bank at Williamsburg, died last Thursday after a long illness. A Democrat, he was elected to the State Legislature in 1885 and long served on the Clermont County Fair Board. Survived by a widow and a brother Coates of California, his funeral is set for Saturday.

County Central Committee for Unemployment Meets in Batavia
The County Central Committee for Unemployment met in Batavia with Judge Woodmansee as chairman and Dr. Colburn as county health commissioner. The group will work through township trustees to identify unemployed workers and place them on county bridge construction projects with 85 percent of laborers to be local. New Auto Tax Distribution Plan Takes Effect in Ohio

Found Dead Near Bantam at 71 in Pasture Field
George Rapp of near Bantam, 71, was found dead Monday at 11 am in his pasture at the old Bantam fair ground where he tended stock. His health had been poor. Survived by two brothers Paul of Batavia and Charlie of Bantam and three sisters Misses Katie Lena and Lizzie. Funeral Wednesday with burial at Old Bethel.

Young Man Shot While Hunting
Harvey Vance aged about fourteen of Williamsburg was accidentally shot in the stomach by a visiting cousin while returning from rabbit hunting. First aid by Drs Martin and Mezar, then transported to Batavia. Dr Ashburn applied x ray and he was taken to Bethesda hospital for observation. This is the first accident reported in the area.

Hunters Injured in Ohio Buick Crash Near Amelia
William Wilem and J. W. George of T. H. Davis Co. Cincinnati were seriously injured when their Buick roadster left the road one mile east of Amelia. The car rolled three times and was demolished en route from Cincinnati to Winchester to visit Clyde Reed and hunt.
