Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Clermont National Bank
Union Township police and Sheriff deputies pursued an armed robbery case from Mt. Carmel in which Mary Kabel was robbed in the Clermont National Bank parking lot at 11 50 a m. A weapon was used to threaten her as the robber took 49 dollars and a savings account book before fleeing. Investigators Capt. Russell Willis Jerry Pike and Deputy Sgt. Clermont County commissioners reviewed bids for two major works the Shayler Run Treatment Plant upgrade in Union Township and jail improvements. Low jail bids came from Bob Adry Construction at 26 460 with a 730 alternate. other firms submitted plumbing electrical and closed circuit TV bids. The drive requests early donations of money toys or clothing to aid about 9000 children in Clermont County with gifts distributed by seven legion posts. Bank Clermont seeks relocation of Goshen Township branch
Relocate Bank Clermont National Bank has filed with the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington DC to move its approved but unopened branch from the northwest corner of St 28 and St 132 to the northeast corner of St 28 and St 132 in Goshen Township. Wynn Freed After Third Trial For Murder
Elmer D. Wynn, 32, was acquitted in a third trial on a second degree murder charge in the death of Jackie Morgan, 25, after a two and a half hour jury deliberation. Morgan died from stab wounds after a New Year’s Eve party at the Clermont County Foxhunters Assn. club house, where Wynn served as president.
