Dermont County held its annual Veterans Day Parade in Batavia on Saturday November 11 to mark Armistice Day. Veterans units from Clermont joined high school bands marching units the Sheriff's Posse and local fire departments.

Thieves took two blue globe taxiway lights and a green red runway light worth 120 from Clermont County Airport last week. The loss was reported to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday. Officials hope the description will aid recovery and warn that night driving could be affected.

Batavia Rejects Piggy Back Tax
Batavia Council rejected a proposed five dollar tax on license plates by a three to two vote at the third reading. The body also held a second reading on an outdoor advertising ban except for venture related signs. A measure to merge village clerk and Board of Public Affairs clerk duties was approved and sidewalk surveys were ordered.
