Three Batavia churches join for a combined Thanksgiving program at the E U B Church in Batavia at 7 30 p m Wednesday. Rev G W Ducknall leads the program with an address by Batavia Presbyterian minister Rev William Tate Paterson on It Is A Good Thing. Special music by the E U B Choir with Rev Fred Mark of the Methodist church contributing. A trio song by Mrs Audrey Miller Mrs Ruth Brothers and Mrs Mabel Brothers is included. After the sermon a new ceremony consecrates fruits and the soil.

Windows Are Broken In Batavia
Clermont County Sheriff Clyde Dericks seeks the suspect or suspects who shattered windows at Wasner Aley Hardware and Holman Buick in Batavia on a Sunday afternoon. A high power air rifle left small lead pellets. Holman Buick’s display window valued at 250 dollars was broken, marking a third such incident in three years at that building.

Richard J. Holden 56 longtime Clermont County official died early Monday at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital Marie mont after several days illness. Four Die As Fire Destroys Home In Epworth Heights
A blaze in Epworth Heights near Branch Hill killed four people, including Harry Hall and his wife Irene, and their two sons. Fire departments from Loveland, Miamiville, Indian Hill, Madeira and Sycamore Township faced water shortages and siren issues delaying response. Nearby residents escaped unharmed as another unoccupied building burned. Baker’s son PFC Lee D. Baker was reported killed in Korea on November 7.
