Miss Mary Louise Gunderley of Batavia marries Leland Smith of Jamestown Ohio on November 14 at James town Methodist Church. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Gunderloy, wore ivory satin with a long train and tiara veil. The ceremony featured ferns and candles, Mrs Evaline Terry sung, Rev E Pearson officiated, and the couple planned a reception then a short wedding trip.

Ration Board Reviews Violations At Clermont County Meeting

The Price Panel of the Clermont County War Price and Rationing Board met at Batavia to hear cases on alleged ceiling price violations in meats groceries automobiles cigarettes and other goods. Some dealers were ordered to refund 95 to the U S Treasury and others paid 50 and 4 80. Three cases remained open for further surveys.

Corporal George A. Kremer of Batavia Ohio earned the Oak Leaf Cluster to the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement July 26 1944 in France. New Richmond Student Dies After Overtime Basketball Game

Funeral services were held Tuesday for 17 year old Donald Dean who died Friday night from a heart attack at the end of an overtime game in the school gym. He collapsed after the game and died soon after being taken to his aunt’s home. His brother Robert Dean is in the armed forces.

Mrs. Robert Dorsey recently returned from a three week visit with her husband, Robert Dorsey, S. 2-c, at Newport Rhode Island, where he has been in training after graduating from Radar School in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. He is now at Little Creek Virginia and will soon go to Philadelphia where he has been assigned to a new ship.

Newtonsville Church To Hold Revival

The Rev. Glenn Williams will speak at a Thanksgiving weekend revival at Newtonsville Church of the Nazarene Route 131 Newtonsville Ohio. Williams formerly played outfield for the Brooklyn Dodgers and is now a divinity student at Olivet Nazarene College. Floyd A Rowe president of the Ohio Public Health Association notes the postman design honors Einar Holboell Danish clerk who started the idea.
