A report from County Agent Don Rehl of the Ohio Water Supply Board shows Clermont County’s water table fell 2.76 feet in the three months before Oct 1, amid drought. For the year ending Oct 1944 the drop averaged 2.10 feet, with 3,500 observers statewide and 47 in Clermont. Regular measurements indicate a subnormal underground reserve and accelerated depletion unless action is taken.
