Amelia High Boys and Girls Keep Winning Run With New Richmond
At Amelia gym the girls beat New Richmond 33 to 21 as they extended their lead each quarter. The boys prevailed in a close game, overcoming a 7 to 6 halftime deficit to win 22 to 18 in the final period. Gippy Venn of Cincinnati refereed both games. Amelia teams remain undefeated and face Milford and Anderson township next.

Clifford J. Taylor 55 was buried at Greenlawn after funeral services at Milford Methodist Church led by Rev. Elisha Kneisley and Rev. Roger Turrell. A Pennsylvania Railroad employee for 33 years he also served on Milford's Board of Public Affairs and was vice president of Milford Building Loan and Savings Co. Three games are set at Batavia High School Gym. BataviaJunior High girls meet Mt Carmel, then Batavia boys and girls face Goshen. Last Friday Batavia girls won, boys lost to Moscow. Amelia teams beat New Richmond 33 21 girls and 22 18 boys. Goshen swept Bethel 18 6 girls and 32 22 boys. Owensville defeated Moscow 23 13 boys and 16 14 girls.

Bethel Man Hospitalized After Route 232 Crash
Cliff Swing 81 of near Bethel is in Christ Hospital after a Saturday morning collision on Route 232 three miles west of Bethel. A Fanin Trucking milk truck driven by Charles Crawford allegedly ran a stop sign, hitting Swing head on. Swing suffered severe cuts and loss of blood, knocked unconscious, then transported by Kennedy Funeral Home Ambulance. He is recovering. he is brother to Bert Swing and Dr. Frank Swing and father of Glenn Swing.
