The November meeting of the Clermont County Edu-Rec Club elects a nominating committee to pick officers for the December 15 Williamsburg Community Center meeting. Man Questioned in Grause Case
Luther Coday, 21, of New Richmond is held in Clermont County jail for questioning in the murder of Frank Grause 59. Grause disappeared August 25 and his body was found August 28 near Nicholsville. Coday was a suspect in a July theft at Hidden Hills Lake, but charges were dismissed. He said he has been in New Mexico since August.

Gas Fumes Ignite Furnace Explosion Injures No One
Gasoline fumes from cleaning fluids used on garments on the first floor spread through ducts to the basement heating system and exploded Monday at Art Wiedenbein home on Teal Town Road. The blast blew a door 30 feet from the furnace but caused no injuries or major damage. North Union volunteers arrived after two pumpers responded to the alarm. confusion over the site delayed initial movements.

Gas Tax Funds Split Between Clermont County Townships
Clermont County will receive 20000 and its townships each will get 800 from the latest gas tax distribution. Villages in the county will be given 1 for each registered motor vehicle in the municipality, State Auditor James A. Rhodes announced.

Fire Chief In Jail Following Crash
Felicity John Morrison local fire chief is jailed in Clermont County awaiting a hearing before Mayor J. F. Paschal on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Morrison was arrested by State Highway Patrol Sunday on U S 52 east of Chile while driving a firetruck to a scene of an auto accident. The cars involved were driven by Ioeser Brown Jr 21 of Cincinnati and Jerry W Smith 35 of Williamsburg. Both were taken to Brown County Hospital along with their wives Lucille Brown and Sophia Smith, Don Prosser 44 and Mrs Anna Prosser 25.

Hearing Sought On Radhel Dump In Clermont County
Prosecuting Attorney Ray Bradford filed a motion in Common Pleas Court seeking a hearing on an injunction in the Radhel dump case near Remington on Route 126. A date is not set but expected within two weeks. The Clermont County Board of Health ordered the dump closed in September, but a Brown County judge's temporary restraining order allowed dumping to continue.
