J L H Barr a prominent Batavia contractor and public man died at his North street home Saturday at 1 a.m. after an eight week illness from stomach cancer. He built the Batavia Armory and other public works and leaves a wife Nellie Titus and son Dean L Barr. He was honored as a faithful employer and community leader with ties to the Presbyterian church and Odd Fellows.
