Drag Racers Face Fines and Jail Under New Ohio Law
Convicted drag racers now face up to 500 dollars in fines and six months imprisonment plus six points on their driving record. The law defines drag racing as driving side by side at accelerating speeds or between the same start and finish points on public roads. Two 11 unit apartment buildings were approved for construction by Hall & Finn of Mt. Carmel on Forest Trail adjoining Mt. Forest Subdivision in Summerside. Architect William H. Byrnes of Mt. Frank Fender 19 of Goshen Rt 1 and Carol Stewart Monnceville were named 4-H Citizenship award winners by American Legion department headquarters for 1959. Fender finished 38 4-H projects in a decade and studied agriculture at Ohio State University after Goshen High School track and football captaincy. Ohio Casualty Insurance and West American Insurance sue four New York bond companies in Common Pleas Court to recover half of the $50,000 shortage found against former Treasurer John P.
