Reverend Seth Adamson Dies After Polio Battle

The Rev. Seth Adamson aged 33, pastor of the Church of Christ in Findlay Ohio, and son-in-law of Albert Kellum, died at General Hospital Cincinnati after a polio illness last summer. He was admitted Aug. 4, released, then reentered Oct. 31. He leaves widow Wilma Lee Kellum Adamson, a son Seth Jr, and daughters Cecilia Kay Vera Louise and Judith Eileen.

New Catholic Church To Be Dedicated In Felicity

Felicity prepares for the dedication of the Mother of Good Counsel Church on Sunday November 21. Auxiliary Bishop George J Behring will preside with Monsignor Joseph Schneider acting pastor. Grange Anniversary Draws Nearly 100 At Newtonsville

Nearly one hundred members and guests attended Clermont Nationa lgrangers 20th anniversary supper and program in Newtonsville. Honored guests included Delles M Worley and Ersie Hutchinson deputies of Warren and Green counties, guest speaker Rev. Paul Jones of Hillsboro. Charges Filed Against New Richmond Chief of Police

A hearing is set for November 29 in New Richmond on charges that Police Chief Russell Flytin neglected his duty by not removing a disruptive spectator at a ballpark last summer. Mayor A. D. Rettinger filed the charges after citizen complaints. Deputy Chief Fred Holt reportedly removed the man, and multiple witnesses are expected to testify.

Egg Cooperative Elects Officers at Fourth Annual Meeting

The Ohio Valley Egg Cooperative held its fourth annual meeting at Milford High School on Tuesday November 9 electing Charles McVey Sabina Ohio as district director for No 6 with Ruth Bauer for district No 2 and E Saxton for district No 1 also named as directors. The board then met with Orville Thies re-elected president Edgar Postle vice president Ruth Bauer secretary and Lloyd Mullett treasurer.

Milford Woman Dies After Emergency Brain Hemorrhage

Mrs. Charles Pickers 38 of 105 Elm Street Milford died early Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital Cincinnati after an emergency operation for a cerebral hemorrhage. Despite two days of inhalator use and constant care from Dr Warren Thomas and others oxygen ran low but was replenished from Deer Park Silverton Indian Hill and Cincinnati Heat Treatment Co. Funeral services set for 2 p m Thursday November 18 at Craver Funeral Home Milford with burial to follow. She is survived by her husband and four children Charles Jr Alberta Richard and Ronnie.

Engagement of Miss Fields Announced

At an impromptu party at the home of Mr and Mrs Justin Stewart of Mt Carmel the engagement of Miss Marie Fields to Mr Dan T Williams was announced. Fields, daughter of Mr and Mrs Orris E Fields Sr of Martinsville Ohio, is a teacher and Wilmington College graduate. Williams, son of Mr and Mrs Eber Williams of La Farge Wis, is a meteorologist with the U S Weather Bureau and a World War II veteran. The couple will wed at Morrisville M E Church during Christmas season and plan to live near Sacramento California.

Insurance agent dies during collection in Milford

A former Milford resident Roy Carson died suddenly last Friday while making insurance collections. He collapsed after visiting a home on the A and P highway. He was 59 and resided at 3706 Marburg Avenue, Cincinnati.

Milford Fire Department responded to a Mulberry residence of Sam Robbins last Saturday afternoon as a bed burst into flames. The fire confined to one bedroom destroying the bed mattress and bedding with an estimated loss of 125 dollars.

Arm injury at New Richmond Woolen Mill

Robert Pike, 22, near Moscow was injured when his hand and arm were mangled on a carding machine at the New Richmond Woolen Mill. He was alone at the machine. coworkers shut off power and aided him until emergency treatment by Dr. Victor Frame. He was taken to Bethesda Hospital.

Body of Woman Found In River Near Milford

After a three day search, 89 year old Emma Lauenstein was found deceased in the East Fork River near the South Milford bridge. Sheriff Clyde Dericks directed the search with Milford Police Chief Earl Konrad. Verner Sellers located the body. Funeral services were held at Craver Funeral Home with committal at Cincinnati Crematory. Survived by daughter Mrs Ray Shore in Denver and a son in Germany.
