John White of this place dies at midnight after a long life of usefulness. Born in Eiktick in 1807, he served on the infirmary board, was a successful businessman, and a Democrat with Presbyterian faith. Funeral held at his son Frank White’s residence with Rev. Billman and Rev. Spybey officiating.

Richard Fenton of Milford sustained a severe abdominal injury when a shotgun discharged during a storm while he hunted with two companions near Alpine Dell. They sheltered in a roadside schoolhouse and rushed him to Milford for treatment by Dr Curay. he was later moved to Cincinnati where he has worked and resides.
