The Owensville WCTU met at Miss Julia Nigh's home on Thursday November 5 at 2 30 pm. Officers elected for the coming year include President Mrs Margaret Newton recording secretary Mrs Jessie Marsh corresponding secretary Mrs Lucinda Rapp and treasurer. Plans were made for members to attend the National WCTU in Cincinnati November 13 18 193. The next meeting will be December 10 at Mrs Elizabeth Marshs home. The M E church ladies aid will serve a conundrum supper at the ICC hall Friday night. The ninth annual National WCTU convention will convene at Ninth Street Baptist Church Friday, with delegates from Clermont.

A Cincinnati team conducted the ritual with 47 Cincinnati Encampment members and many from nearby lodges in attendance. A banquet at Hamilton House followed, with about 71 brethren participating. The lodge is noted as rapidly strengthening and among the state’s finest.
