Suit Could Halt New Horizon Opening In Batavia Center
By Jo Kemp, a suit soon filed in Clermont County Common Pleas Court may stop the opening of the New Horizon Batavia Residential Center for the severely mentally retarded and developmentally disabled. The Southwest Ohio Developmental Center Citizens Advisory Board objects to the Toledo operator New Horizons Inc. winning the bid, citing irregularities and concerns over care quality.
