A commissioners meeting to decide if Chile will become an incorporated village was postponed by Chairman Charles Clark because only he would attend. Zenas Anstaett is in Florida with a ill relative. Don Ison has not attended meetings since bribery indictment. A Chile delegation left the office in anger. The issue will be reconsidered on December 2.

State Highway Patrol took into custody Bethelman driver James Fultz, 21, in a stolen car reported at 3:50 am in Ripley. The car owned by Kenneth R. Marshall was stopped on Rt. 125 and Gilman Dr by Patrolman Gene Cook after a 4:49 am pursuit. He was turned over to Ripley Police Department.
