Plead Guilty by Three Burglars in Georgetown Case
Three burglars George Hauck Harry L Roy and Ed Miller pled guilty at Georgetown Common Pleas Court before Judge Tarbell for burglarizing Philip Stevens home. They were sentenced to the Ohio penitentiary for five to 15 years and taken to Columbus. Neighbors alerted by phone led to their capture after a faulty getaway including leaving Mr Stevens shoes and unfinished telegraph wires. Miller and LeRoy used fictitious names and had police records.

Fine celery on display in Wolf and Moore window in Batavia last Saturday. Chas R Kincaid of near Fair Oaks brought in Silver self blanching celery. Stocks measured three inches through, nine inches around, and eighteen inches high after peeling. One stock could serve six for dinner. Stalks were brittle and tender requiring careful handling.

Newman withdraws new trial motion and receives prison term
George Newman, convicted in the common pleas court last week in cest, withdrew his motion for a new trial on Monday and was sentenced to one to ten years in the Ohio penitentiary. Sheriff Williams delayed his Columbus trip until Tuesday to join five convicts, including one sent to Mansfield Reformatory, the largest Clermont transfer to date. Deputies Peter Ballinger and C. M. Gelvin accompanied the party.
