The Clermont county War Price and Rationing Board was told to shift the basic regulation dates from November 12 to 14 to November 18 to 20 due to a book distribution mix up. Registration for mileage rations will run 1 pm to 9 pm on those days at all county schools with forms available at service stations and other sites.

Clermont motorists face delays in mileage rationing if they keep tires beyond the five per car limit. War Price and Rationing Board chair Edw. C. Saxton urged owners to dispose of excess tires before registration on November 18 to 20. Receipts from Railway Express Agency or proof of scrap tire disposal acceptable for basic ration applications beginning December 1.

The Clermont Aerie hosts a Remember Pearl Harbor Rally in Batavia on December 7 to mark the first anniversary of the attack. Admission is a scrap metal or rubber gift, with good speakers and entertainment planned. Secretary M. J. Kain says the event reaffirms support for the government and servicemen.
Edward C. Saxton urges autoists to form car sharing clubs to obtain supplemental rations. Clubs must include at least three riders and be formed before applying to the War Price and Rationing Board. Signatures of all members are required on the application and Iles to ensure members fulfill commitments.
Truck, bus and taxi operators must hold Certificates of War Necessity before applying to the War Price and Rationing Board for mileage rations. The certificate, issued by the Office of Defense Transportation, fixes three months mileage and gasoline needs. Applicants must bring the certificate and a proper mileage ration application to the board for approval. On the basis of the certificate mileage the board issues transport rations, never exceeding the stated gasoline allotment. Off road equipment will register at the Batavia school auditorium during the week of November 28 to 28 from 1 to 9 p.m.
The Williamsburg Garden Club met at Mrs Mary Roush home with cohostess Mrs Anna Binkley. Due to serious illness the program was altered. A light lunch followed the session.
Kain announces a large Remembrance Pearl Harbor Rally to be held publicly this year. He invites all county citizens to attend and participate in the event, emphasizing its significance and inclusivity.
The post office department seeks public help to move a massive Christmas mail volume while keeping daily military mail flowing. Indications point to the largest Christmas mail volume on record as September sales neared the 1941 December peak. Citizens urged to mail earlier and address items correctly to ease wartime postal difficulties.
At the Clermont County Farm Bureau annual meeting held Thursday evening in Batavia, W. Pride was re elected as officer for the coming year. About 100 members discussed plans and policies while reports from the Clermont County Farm Bureau Co op Assn and related bodies were read. Other officers elected included Howard Elliott vice president and Mrs Harry Nott secretary treasurer. Delegates elected included Mr R F Turner as state meeting delegate and Mrs Harley Steward as alternate. Maude Anderson spoke on rural democracy. Roy Battles gave the feature address as county agent.
The Ohio State Council of Defense orders local councils to appoint Chief of Civilian War Services and launch the Block Plan to enroll every household. The program targets nutrition housing health and transportation while creating zone leaders and block leaders to mobilize neighbors in support of war services.

Joseph Bracke and Charles Scharper, Coca-Cola driver salesmen, begin service with a Red Cross Mobile Emergency First Aid Fleet unit. They wear Red Cross armbands and display the insignia on their truck license plate. The crew carries first aid traction splints and a bilin device in protective cases, ready for emergency response in the Eastern U.S.
