Goshen native Major Voll to be stationed in California
Major John Voll of Goshen will depart early next week for California to serve at an Air Force Base with jet plane inspection duties. A World War II ace, Voll is a Goshen High School graduate and former science instructor who later married Joan Koch. He has earned the Distinguished Service Cross, two Silver Stars, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, 27 air medals and eight battle stars.

County voters approved but failed to reach 55 percent necessary for passage on road and bridge levies.
