Bridge Bids Due Soon for Timber Span in Clermont County
Columbus Ohio May 27 bids will be received May 81 by the purchasing agent of the highway department for materials to erect temporary timber bridges. A bridge 180 feet long and 24 feet wide will span the east fork of the Little Miami River at Batavia on State Route 74 to replace a damaged structure until a permanent bridge is built.

Samuel King found dead in bed at Afton home
Samuel King aged 60 was found dead in bed Monday morning by his wife Mary at their Afton farm home. He had been in his usual health. A coroner ruled heart trouble. He previously worked in Cincinnati in the City Engineers department and is survived by his widow. Funeral arrangements with Moore Funeral Home.
