Formerly of New Richmond Woman Dies at Hancock Home
Mrs. Sarah J. Donham widow of Perry J. Donham and a Clermont county bar member died at the Howard Hancock home near Amelia Saturday night at age 87. Her first husband Baxter Smith once edited the Courier. She lived in New Richmond most of her life and was buried Tuesday at Mt. Moriah cemetery.

Manure Value Calculations From Experiment Farm Trials
Experiment Farm tests compare stall manure, phosphated manure, and no manure on a corn wheat rotation started in 1920. Four tons per acre produced 10 bushels more corn per acre, while adding 40 pounds acid phosphate raised the gain to 14.6 bushels. At 60 cents per bushel, stall manure is worth about $6 per acre and roughly 0.50 per ton including tiling and spreading. Phosphated manure adds $2.18 per ton, with acid phosphate contributing about 0.44 per ton. Wheat results inconclusive after one crop. the study continues under W. E. Weaver, Supt.

Accident Leaves Owensville Youth Dead in House
Eli Allen Needham, son of Frank Needham, died last Friday from a gunshot wound while handling a shotgun at his father’s home in Owensville. He was alone in an upstairs room after an errand, and the shot punctured below the breastbone, causing instant death. Burial at Mt Crab on Sunday. County agents report a cucumber beetle problem. Ohio Experiment Station in Marietta has field-tested a calcium and land plaster dust mix to repel and kill beetles while fertilizing soil.
