Rodney Mosbacker, a Batavia High School 1965 graduate, earned a West Point appointment through Sixth Clough Pike after an outstanding student record at Batavia. He was active in French and Alchemist clubs, Pep Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, and editor of the yearbook. Mosbacker belongs to Evangelical United Brethren Church, is an Explorer Scout, and holds the God and Country Award. He is the first Batavia student appointed to West Point since Col Cecil Himes in 1933.
