Clough Pike Woman Killed by Accidental Gun Discharge
Mrs. Joann Smith, 47, died at her Clough Pike home last Thursday from a .22 caliber bullet wound to the head. The rifle discharged as she reached for a lantern in front of the house to locate a rooster. Survived by husband William G. Smith and daughters Lantha 24 and Mary Jo 14. Sheriff Clyde Dericks investigated the accident.

4-H Camp Drive Launched By County Rally
The county kicks off a fundraising drive to raise 16500 for a regional 4-H Camp with a Bethel mock trial in the school auditorium featuring Cincinnati judges and local officers.
