Death of New Richmond Woman Ruled Suicide
The death of 26 year old Dolvin Day of New Richmond was ruled a death by own action. Found in her father Joseph Boots basement with a shotgun nearby the body showed a facial wound. Sheriff Clyde Dericks coroner Allan B. Rapp and prosecutor Ray Bradford assisted in the investigation. Day had telephoned her grandmother earlier that day and appeared dependent.

The color change from yellow to green on prepaid tax receipts has sparked rumors that yellow stamps are non redeemable after June 1 1948. Only stamps issued under the retain sales tax are redeemable at 3 percent of face value. those delivered after May 1 1938 remain redeemable until law changes.
