Veterans Memorial Services Held in Presbyterian Church
Twenty veterans attended memorial services last Sunday in the Presbyterian church accompanied by ten members of the Women's Relief Corps. Commander Whitney led a parade to the organ for a reveille, funeral march and a prayer for the veterans and Relief Corps. Mrs. Belt played the offertory tune Tenting on the old Camp Ground, and Mrs. Baum sang We shall Meet but we shall Miss Him with a piano chorus. The church was decorated by Mrs. Blanchard and corps members with flowers and ferns and the post colors displayed by the organ staff. Taps by the organ opened the exit as the two organizations left to a grand march amid a summer scent of flowers.

Death of Dotts McGroarty in Lake Pontchartrain
Georgetown Gazette reports the death of W R McGroarty known as Dotts. He drowned accidentally while bathing in Lake Pontchartrain New Orleans.
