Cyclone kills Clemont er in St Louis and Nichola dies
Among the victims in St Louis during the cyclone was Philip Nichola of New Richmond. A traveling salesman for a Cincinnati cigar house, he sat resting near his hotel when the building collapsed. He was prominent socially and in business and father of Frank Nichols of this place. His remains were taken to New Richmond for interment.
