Decoration day ceremonies are planned at Union cemetery in Batavia via Sunday May 30 at 3 PM. G A R and American Legion will arrange a program with Batavia band music and Rev John B Ekey of Milford as speaker. A parade will assemble at the Armory 2:30 PM with veterans Scouts and children marching to the cemetery.

Dr. Redrow, longtime Williamsburg resident and Civil War veteran, died after a long illness aged 80. He is survived by a widow, one son, and two grandchildren. funeral and Masonic services were held. Mrs Mary A Gomien of Craver dies after eight week illness aged 989 years. seven children survive. Funeral at St Philomena Church with interment at Stonelick.

Fire destroys barn on Tena Hancock farm near Amelia
A lightning strike during a Sunday storm burned the large barn on the Tena Hancock farm one mile from Amelia. The contents including feed and farm implements were a total loss. No stock was in the barn at the time. The loss is partly insured.

The Sunshine/Club No 67 met at Mrs Walter Daughertys home with all but two members present. Obituary for George T Perry of Cincinnati
Longtime resident George T Perry born May 9 1859 in Cincinnati died August 19 after a period of suffering. He married Alice Jones in 1884 and had three children Effie Trapp Edna Pearl Burdsall and George Oscar Perry. He embraced faith, received baptism, and planned burial with Dr Wilson and Bro Russell. He left seven grandchildren and many friends who cherishing his cheerful kindness. He died peacefully after more than a decade in the community.
