CECOS and EA Engineering sue each other over waste cells

In Batavia Ohio EA Engineering and CECOS International clash in separate suits over billing for work on cells 6 7 and 8 at a hazardous waste landfill. CECOS seeks 117 587.99 in common pleas court and EA ha s filed a 2 million federal suit claiming lost business from EA’s faulty cell design. County seeks funds to draft thoroughfare plan

King files Royal Oak lawsuit in Clermont County court

Phyllis G. King of Batavia filed suit May 17 in Clermont County Common Pleas Court accusing Royal Oak Hunt and Country Club and Home State Service Corporation of breaching their contract. She seeks 85,891 in commissions from renewal memberships earned in 1985 plus eight percent annual interest from November 2, 1984. An earlier club employee, before March 21, 1984, earned two percent commission on renewal memberships she secured and four percent on others.

County bids 80 acre hillside lease for ONG armory

Disaster Services chief Kenneth Conover fears eviction after Clermont County commissioners sign a long term lease with the Ohio National Guard. The deal gives the Guard 80 acres near Filager Road by the animal shelter in exchange for 1 500 square feet inside a hillside armory, 90 years with a 30 year renewal. The county retains ground floor space and utilities.
