Endurance racers Richard Merrill Hogue and Fi ne Gibbon Gamut, known as or, nine, qualified for the Purina Race of Champions at Pike's Peak in Denver, Colorado, July 2. To qualify they must place in the top 10 of a 500 mile total, with two completed 100-mile runs. Hogue and Roadrunner finished the requirements last fall, and with his 14-year-old son Bill and brother Jim as pit crew they plan a four day drive west in late June.

Counties to receive titles for surplus military vehicles

Unions Seek Deputies’ Allegiance In Clermont County
Deputies in Clermont County Sheriff’s Department will vote next Thursday on their representation. Ballots offer Local 740 Corrections and Safety Employees of Ohio, Lodge 112 Fraternal Order of Police, or no representation. Local 740 held May 16 informational sessions at noon and 4 pm at Holiday Inn. Lodge 112 scheduled May 15 meeting at American Legion Post 72 Mt Carmel with speakers from the state lodge.
