The warden oversees a vast inmate family totaling about 1900 men housed in the Ohio penitentiary. Five hundred are in the idle house with half being second termers. Of the 600 in the Idle house 160 are Negroes and only about 40 Hebrews are present among all prisoners.

Fish for All Spooled Hatchery Supplies Aid Streams
State fish hatcheries report liberal supplies of bass catfish and other species for streams across the state. Fifteen cans of fish were moved from a Norfolk and Western car to the East Fork near Batavia, varied in size from a pound to a minnow, to provide sport for years. The game warden’s enforcement reduced illegal fishing last year and protections for the fish are urged.
