False Alarm of Murder Deludes Town with Sham Crime
Last Saturday Georgetown reported a murder on the public square with four men in an auto as suspects. Early morning investigators found no corpse as the four youths staged a blood smeared sham attack using blood from a slaughterhouse to fool the town. Four arrests followed: Rodney Barnes Josie Bier Mearl and Mistchler and Wm Whistner.

In cool weather on Saturday May 12 Price Hill Eagles defeated Batavia 9 to 6. Simington struck out 14 for Batavia and 4 for the Eagles in a strong opening performance. Craver Jamieson Davidson Simington and Craver led the home team at bat. Pat Nolte Dulle Dempsey Dimmitt and Rack each had a hit for the Eagles. Miller caught well as both clubs played solid ball. The Home City team hosts next Saturday May 19.

Forty four cows in Association No. 1 produced over 35 pounds butter fat or 1000 pounds milk in the 80 day period ending April 30. The top cow on the farm of I. N. Channel yielded 2391 pounds of milk and 73.6 pounds of butter fat on a seven day test. Angie a Holstein owned by R. E. Head produced 1914 pounds of milk and 64.4 pounds of butter fat.
