The May settlement of Personal and Classified tax collections, closing March 31, was released by County Auditor Blythe Jones's office. The distribution to 14 townships, 12 villages, and 28 school districts in Clermont County includes specific payments to Batavia, Williamsburg, Bethel Tate, New Richmond, Milford, Loveland, Amelia, Moscow, and others with amounts ranging from a few dollars to over five thousand.

Funeral services for Dr J V Mott held at Mt Pisgah
Funeral services for 76 year old Dr J V Mott were conducted Monday at Mt Pisgah Methodist Church by Rev Hazelwood and Rev Stevenson. The Amelia resident died after a paralytic stroke May 17. Interment followed in Mt Pisgah cemetery. He practiced medicine 55 years in Lindale and Amelia, was educated at Cincinnati Eclectic College, and was a member of state and national medical associations. He leaves a widow Nina Mott, a daughter Myrtle Leeds Winchester Ohio, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
