Dog Bites Steer Then Dies of Hydrophobia
A Perrntown dog owned by Isaac Turner showed hydrophobia symptoms about 90 days ago. The dog fatally bit a steer, was killed, and its head sent to Columbus for diagnosis, which confirmed rabies. The steer later died last Sunday from the same affliction, with unknown further bites by the dog.

Glove Fire Injures Mrs Fuller in Linwood Incident

Last Friday Batavia public schools held a long awaited Class Day with Supt Aultman leading preparations. Visitors and scholars joined in songs America and Sweet and Low while Miss Grace Wood delivered the class poem. Charles Needham prophesied twenty years ahead and Miss Florence Buerkle wrote the class Will read by Esther Anstead. Robert Spencer gave the class oration, Ellen Nichols gave the farewell, and an art display in three lower rooms showed careful training and growing talent led by Elizabeth Hunt.

Conductor Injured On C M L Traction Run
Charles Keller, conductor on the C M L traction line, was injured last week while on the running board of his car as it passed Red Bird Hollow. A pole struck him in the back causing serious injuries. he was taken to Milford and then sent home by doctors.

Milford Man Held for Cincinnati Stabbing Case
Bud Bennett a colored man was taken from Milford to Hamilton county jail by Detective Eppinger after Cincinnati police requested his arrest for a February stabbing. Marshal Malsbury received the call Monday night and Bennett was transferred on the 10 o clock C M and L car, then moved to Cincinnati.
