This program runs at Cross Stonelick from June 22 to July 10 with weekday morning groups and at East Fork with afternoon sessions July 20 to August 7. Registration occurs at the lake public beach for Stonelick and at East Fork, with three Stonelick sessions and six East Fork sessions scheduled, contact 579-3025 for details.
Milford's annual Frontier Days kicks off June 4 at the American Legion grounds with a four day salute. A grand parade, rides, booths, and games run from 7:30 p.m. spectators walk to the Legion on Race Street. A new feature is a children's show Appalachian Folkcraft on the grass area in front of the Milford region. Milford Area Chamber of Commerce officials remain at the chamber office for details.
Williamsburg parents and teachers met May 11 to discuss district financial problems. Ken Osborne said one of four high school football coaches would not be reinstated, requiring two coaches for varsity and reserve to supervise 65 players, saving 1 056 dollars for 425 hours. He urged citizen contact with school board and plans a June 3 meeting at the American.
Brenda Ross, 27, had probation revoked in Clermont County Common Pleas Court. Judge Louis J. Schwartz reimposed the original sentence of one to five years in the ven refor matory after findings she violated terms, including unpaid restitution and costs from last year’s case.
William W. Brayshaw, District Deputy Director, says plans call for removing and replacing bridge railings and terminal assemblies, replacing guardrails, and constructing new guardrails along SR 32 in Williamsburg and SR 125 to the Brown County line in Clermont and Bethel. Completion date is August 31, 1981. Traffic will be maintained. motorists urged to use best judgment through construction.
Clermont County hosts a May 21 meeting at Glen Este High School to review a transportation plan. Proposals include SR 32 Eastgate interchange, SR 131 SR 560 SR 132 SR 727 Wolfpen Road upgrades, Gleneste Williamsville Road improvements, major widening on SR 32 to Old SR 32 and US 50 to SR 48, plus a Hamilton County transfer center for connections to private autos carpools bicycles and public transit.
