A two course luncheon followed. Missing Neville man found in Ohio river
Edwin Levis of Neville, 65, missing since May 9, was found dead in the Ohio River below town. Ill health and temporary insanity were cited as causes. He leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. CO. M. Batavia moves toward 24 hour electric service after local citizens proposed the plan. Judge Tarbell dissolved an injunction, court of appeals will hear the case, and work could begin soon with service likely by September. The town will buy current under 3 cents and sell at 8 cents with reductions after use. The plant remains in place and can supply fire water if needed.

Murderous Assault by Tenant on Chile Farm Owner
Mahlon Hall, tenant on Horace Reed’s farm near Chile, attacked Reed with a blunt instrument, knocked him unconscious, then forced Reed’s brother in law to row to Kentucky with a revolver in pursuit. Reed was found unconscious two hours later. Hall fled back to Ohio but remains at large with a posse. Reed may have a skull fracture. a city specialist and nurse are attending.

Wreck on N W Line Near Mineral Springs Injures 14
Conductor Harry Shaw led the N W accommodation train that derailed near Mineral Springs on May 9 after a break rod dislodged. Of 30 passengers, 14 were hurt but none seriously. Doctors arrived from Peebles to treat the injured as wrecking crews cleared the tracks by Wednesday morning.

School official found guilty of drunkenness in Manchester
