A Bethel man Daniel Hill aged about 70 was buried last Friday. A tent over the grave hid tampering as the sexton found blood spots and evidence of a grave intrusion. The coffin was opened the thief removed a breast plate and left with the lungs and heart, then vanished. Coroners and authorities will investigate. the body was placed in a vault after disinterment.
