Second Degree Murder Case in Williamsburg
Marshal Floyd Frayser of Williamsburg is charged with the second degree murder of Harry Miller after a night confrontation on the hill and at Tom Danberrys restaurant. Miller died Monday morning after being shot twice. Frayser claims self defense and resisting an officer. Frayser is held on $10,000 bond. grand jury timing unannounced. An inquest and autopsy were conducted Tuesday by Coroners Curlis and Swing.

The United Brethren Church concluded revival meetings Sunday with a capacity audience. Mothers Day services were held, several youths came forward, and a two week revival with Rev Sanford is planned for February. Sanford received the largest offering yet and the church read over 291000 verses. Naomi Edinger read over 42000 verses, Williard Sanders over 38000. Next Sunday Parma Day is set with Rev Schiering from Parma Church at Cleveland to speak in the morning and a life battles topic in the evening.

Forged Certified Check From Clermont Machine Tool Co
A forged certified check drawn on Batavia Bank appeared last Thursday, second in a week. It claimed to be payable to J E Howard for 58.80 and was signed by Clermont Machine Tool Co with J A Donnelly countersigning. Endorsed by J E Howard, payment was made at Cosmopolitan Bank Cincinnati, but no funds existed and no such firm exists. The bank protested and returned it to Cincinnati. Clermont Bank employees face possible recovery action by the payee. Local check workers have operated in the county over the past two years.
