Merwin Graduation Plans For Ninety Sixth Graders
Merwin Elementary School schedules graduation for 90 sixth grade students on Tuesday May 25 at 8 p.m. in the school. The event is sponsored by the Merwin PTA with co chairs Mrs Wenstrip and Mrs Martin and assistants Mrs Evans and Mrs Schwiermann. PTA officers to be installed include Helen Lindsley president June Ramundo first vice president Shirley Campbell second vice president Dee Hill recording secretary Marcia Shepherd corresponding secretary Joyce Chatterton treasurer Greta Elig delegate Dorris Morris alternate and Jo Ginnochio historian. David Jewell is principal. Sixth grade teachers are Niehoff Fackler and Proctor.

Amelia High Band May Concerts and Band Night
Amelia High Band plans two May events with musical performances by the high school band on May 18 at 7 30 p m on the front lawn weather permitting and a May 20 Band Night at 7 30 p m at Amelia Junior High School. Directors William Ralston and Michael Franklyn lead multiple bands and the Eighth Grade Chorus recently earned a superior rating. refreshments provided by the Music Association will follow each concert.

Clermont County GOP adopts precinct committee training program
The Clermont County Republican Central Committee votes to implement a precinct committeeman training program led by Dale Bee from Tate Township aimed at updating campaign techniques and increasing awareness of local state government. A Screening Committee of 14 members is to be formed in May with township appointments. Riverside Republican Club installs Stephen Durkee as president amid salary and committee reorganizations. A July family picnic is planned at New Sky Hill Pool.
